Trusting God's Plan Through the Struggles: A Journey of Faith, Doubt, and God's Faithfulness

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind. I quit my job, which in itself was a huge leap of faith. But since then, I’ve been struggling with what comes next. What exactly do I do now? Where do I start? How do I find suppliers? What products should I even offer? What social media platforms should I focus on?

I’ve had so many overwhelming days, the kind where I have to walk away, close my door, and just fall to my knees and pray. Some days, I’ve cried out of sheer frustration, feeling like I was drowning in uncertainty. There were days when I told myself, “I can’t do this. I’m not creative enough. I’m not good enough. I’m not smart enough.”

And let me tell you, those voices? They weren’t mine. They were lies from the enemy, trying to keep me from walking in the purpose God has for me.

I also have had days where I wanted to give up altogether. I’d think, “Who am I kidding? No one’s going to buy anything from me. No one’s going to watch my videos. This is all just going to fail. Maybe I should just go back and get a regular job.”

But here’s the thing: I know God called me to this.

The Struggle Is Real, But So Is His Faithfulness

The battle I’ve been facing has been more than just figuring out business logistics. It’s been a spiritual battle. The enemy’s voice was loud, trying to convince me that I wasn’t good enough, that no one would care, that I should give up. But God reminded me, in the quiet moments, who I really am.

Yesterday, God reminded me of who I am. It happened when the song “Overcomer” by Mandisa came on, and I couldn’t help but smile. It was like God was saying, “I’ve got you. You’re an overcomer. You’ve been through so much already, and I’m still with you.” That moment was like a gentle reminder that I am His, and He’s not done with me yet.

He reminded me that I am His daughter, wonderfully and fearfully made. He reminded me that this journey isn’t going to be easy. There will be hard days. There will be moments where I question everything. But the beautiful thing is that He is with me through it all. And though I may not see the fruit immediately, I can trust in His timing. I can trust that He is guiding me, even when the path isn’t clear.

When the Enemy Tries to Discourage You, Keep Going

What I’ve learned in these past few weeks is that when God is calling you to something great, when you’re on the verge of stepping out in faith, the enemy will do everything he can to stop you. He will use doubt, fear, and discouragement to try and make you question everything.

But here’s the truth: God is greater than the lies the enemy tells you. His plan for us is bigger than the fear we feel in our hearts. And as hard as it’s been, I know that this journey is about more than just business or sales. It’s about stepping out in faith, trusting that God is leading me toward something bigger than I could ever imagine. And every step I take, even when it feels like I’m stumbling, is part of His plan.

The Lies We Believe and How to Overcome Them

The lies I’ve heard—“You’re not good enough,” “You’ll fail,” “No one will care about your work”—are not my own. Those are lies meant to keep me stuck, keep me from walking in what God has for me. And I know I’m not the only one who hears these lies. Maybe for you, it’s not about starting a business, but it’s something else. It could be doubt about your abilities, your worth, or even your calling.

But here’s the key: We don’t have to listen to those lies. The moment we start to feel discouraged, we have to turn our attention to God. We have to remind ourselves of the truth. We are loved. We are capable. We are His.

Trusting in His Timing

Even though things haven’t been easy, I’m learning to trust God’s timing. I know He’s leading me, even when I can’t see the way ahead. And as much as I want everything to happen quickly, I know that He’s preparing me for something even bigger than I can imagine.

It’s not always easy to wait. It’s not always easy to trust. But I believe that God has a plan for this season, and I’m going to remain faithful and trust in His timing, knowing that He’s going to open the right doors at the right time.

We Are Never Alone in Our Struggles

For anyone out there struggling right now—whether it’s in your business, your relationships, your work, or your personal life—know that you are not alone. God sees you. He knows your pain, your doubts, your fears. He’s with you every step of the way, just as He’s been with me through my own struggle.

I know this journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m holding onto the promise that God will provide. His timing is perfect, and even when we don’t see it, He’s working behind the scenes, leading us to the place we’re meant to be.

Scripture to Reflect On

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
— Jeremiah 29:11

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
— Proverbs 3:5-6

Lord, I come before You, asking for Your guidance in this journey. Help me trust You more, even when things are uncertain. I surrender my fears and doubts to You. Help me to walk in faith, knowing that You are leading me, even when I can’t see the path ahead. Thank You for being with me, for guiding me, and for always being faithful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
